I picked up some squid tentacles (the legs and body) at a fish market a couple weeks ago. Every time I go to my favorite sushi buffet I always get the BBQ squid. So I wanted to replicate it at home. Although I used a different technique it still came out really yummy!
Onions marinated in lemon
I chopped up onions and marinated them in lemon juice and salt. Added oil and fresh garlic to the grill pan and turned the stove on high. I grilled the squid for approximately 3 minutes, until the squid was opaque, being careful not to overcook it. When squid is overcooked it is chewy and tough and not really fun to eat. I added the onions later so that they kept their crunch. After everything was cooked I then added the capers. Mmmmm!
