I picked up these two LOreal Infallible 4 Hour Eye Shadows at CVS while they were having a sale where if you spent $15 you could get $5 back in ECBs. I was psyched to see Bronzed Taupe because its TOTALLY in my color range, but wasnt too thrilled with the other color selections. This particular CVS (since I wasnt in the mood to drive to another) only had the lighter shades and I want to say the blue one, so Iced Latte was my only other option. Iced Latte is not particularly a color I would run out to buy but since I wanted to try the shadows out I picked it up and called it a day, I would have preferred Amber Rush but beggars cant be choosey.
These are stated to be a great dupe for Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill. I cant confirm or deny that they are because I dont own any of the Eyes to Kill.
Firstly, the packaging on these products is okay, its nothing spectacular. Its a small squarish container, with a round twist top. The bottom of the product is clear so you can see the color of the product. When you twist it open, there is a plastic little stopper, which helps keep the shadow down in the pan and free from falling out all over the place so you should not just throw this plug away or youre going to end up with a big mess on your hands. When you remover the stopper you can see the product in all its glory. The shadow is softer, similar to a mineralized shadow, but just one thats been compressed.
The price can be relatively unattractive based on where you purchase. CVS has these priced at $8.29/ea but if you can pick them up during a sale where ECBs are involved and if you also stack it with a manufacturers coupon you can get them for a bit cheaper. I have heard that these are cheaper at Target, but sadly, none of my Targets have these in stock yet so I dont know of the prices there. But typically, from what I have seen, these range from $8-10 depending on where you purchase.
The product itself is gorgeously pigmented. As you can see from the swatches (these are without primer BTW) the colors are gorgeous. Bronzed Taupes color payoff reminds me a lot of Maybellines Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. Granted they are two different products, but they both have a bit of a sheen to it and theyre stunningly gorgeous! Iced Latte is a creamy beige that wears rather frosty.
I would definitely suggest trying these out if youre able to spot them at your local store. Be forewarned though, the color selection is kind of meh in a lot of locations because they are really being sought after.
Have you picked up any of these Infallible 24 Hour Eye Shadows by LOreal? If not, do you plan on it?
If you do have any, what is your favorite color so far?
