My mum and sister are currently in Asia on vacation so I was pretty much left to my own devices. This is never good =P And I thought I had to spend Mid-Autumn festival alone.

Luckily, my boyfriend decided to work only half day so we went over to this parents` house for mid-Autumn festival.

His parents knew I loved lobster so they decided to make a dish using 4 lobsters =) That was really nice of them.

The lobsters were first broken apart into pieces and then put into a steamer tray. Spring onions, garlic and ginger were added to the steamer tray and the lobsters were left to steam for a good 30 minutes - 1 hr. Then the lobster fat was taken and used to make a sauce using ginger and garlic. This made the lobster really delicious! It was also one of the ways Chinese people prepare lobster.

These lobsters were from the States and apparently their shells are a lot softer than the ones we find in Canada.

I was able to eat 1/2 of one myself =)
