65 will be hoping to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat at Everton by taking three points at home against Fulham.New signing Robin van Persie is likely to make his first start for the Red Devils after starting on the bench at Goodison Park on Monday night, with Danny Welbeck expected to make way. Alex Ferguson could once more look to Michael Carrick to patch up his threadbare defence, while Rafael is expected to come in for Antonio Valencia. Ryan Giggs may also feature in place of Nani.Meanwhile, Martin Jol may name an unchanged lineup after his men routed Norwich City 5-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday.Manchester United: De Gea; Evra, Carrick, Vidic, Rafael; Scholes, Kagawa, Cleverley, Giggs; Rooney, Van Persie

Fulham: Schwarzer; Riether, Hangeland, Hughes, Riise; Duff, Diarra, Dembele, Kacaniklic; Ruiz, PetricSports Mole says: 3-1

Robin has had a few days training since Monday. Its a home game, theres every chance he could start. But were the same as Monday night injuries-wise. Alex will be involved tomorrow. He gives us that back up. Evra could actually play centre-back he has done in the past.

Ive already gone in depth into Uniteds performance at Everton in that games review. Looking forward to this game, the big question is whether van Persie will make his first start for the club and if he does, how it could alter the setup from the one we saw in the Everton game.

One possibility is that van Persie comes in for Welbeck and goes up top with Rooney while Kagawa (who cant be dropped on current form) is shifted to the left. This would change the setup completely. Against Everton, Welbeck was a wide forward and Kagawa was the creative number 10 threading him through balls. If we go back to the 4-4-2 setup of last season, the wingers would once again be the main source of creativity.

Valencia should ideally come back to the right wing to help stretch the play, especially against Riise, whatever the setup is. This would mean that Nani be axed following his poor (to put it politely) display against Everton and that Rafael goes to right-back.

With the arrivals of Kagawa and van Persie, Wayne Rooney becomes more droppable, especially considering his decline in overall performance in the past few months. Its highly unlikely that he will be left out of this game of course but his place in the first team is not as comfortable as it was last season. One could definitely see Kagawa and van Persie playing together without Rooney in the picture. Another possible setup is with one of Rooney or van Persie being shifted wide to keep the same setup as that used against Everton.

The central midfield pairing will probably continue to be Scholes and Cleverley unless Anderson is brought in. Its probably not the best pair but unless Fulham put someone on Scholes specifically, I can see him dominating the game with his distribution.
