It is a very cultural city with so much to see and do.
Don`t visit Lisbon without visiting Sintra, which is the living fairytale on this earth with so many beautiful palaces and breathtaking gardens. It`s the place where there will always be the chance to see spectacular views from places like the Moorish Castle or the Santa Justa Elevator. It is easy to travel around Lisbon using the metro, tram or bus andyou get the best of both worlds because the capital city is also next to the sea with some beaches nearby. It mixes both modern and a deeply historical side.
There are many large squares in Lisbon, which means that it similarly resembles other European cities with Italian traces. However, with trades and links with India and China included means that there is the exciting oriental side to lisbon too.
It is worth taking a trip to Belem for the famous egg pasties. The place is also world famous for its Fado nights, and it`s always best to this locally in a traditional fado place downtown.
