Lisa`s Cosmetics Sale
Being the huge bargain hunter that I am, I am always on the look out for warehouse sales and clearance events where I can get things I normally will buy anyways for cheap.
One of my favourite sales to attend is called Lisa`s Cosmetics sale. They hold this sale a few times a year, and it is a regular warehouse sale where they sell perfume, make up and other health and beauty supplies as well as some other things for your home.
The spring sale was on over the course of a few weekends and ended recently, but I was able to go a few times and grab some items. This first haul is when I went by myself. Ill also post some haul from when I went with my sister and a bigger haul when I went with my mom soon :)
They have a huge selection of nail polishes and nail tools, but I was trying to be good and not get any polishes since I have so many!
Instead, I did get some nail tools. Im always in need of nail files I can throw in my purse in case I break a nail on the go, so I bought a 2 pack of biodegradable Eco Boards from Sally Hansen. I also bought a pink Toe Tip file from Sally Hansen. I dont like using metal files since they are really damaging to the nail, but normal cardboard files are too flimsy to use on the toes. This file is super thick so it wont bend or break, and the pointed tips make it easier to file your tootsies :P
I also bought a 2 pack of extra gentle nail files that are good for smoothing the surface of the nail but dont damage it by filing away too much of the nail. I also bought a nail buffer to smooth out the nails as well. Each of these items were between 99 cents to $1.99...
Next I headed to the Annabelle make-up section where they have all the colours set out in bins, and a bunch of workers who can help you find what you need. Testers for all the colours are laid out on tables where you can try them out, and once you pick the ones you want, the workers can find the bin with the corresponding color.
I picked out 3 single eyeshadows at $1.99 each and 2 duos at $2.99 each!
They also had a few items from Cargo cosmetics which I have never tried. They had this palette for I believe $5.99 so I decided to try it out. It comes with 3 liquid bases colours and 10 shadows. The idea is you pick a base colour, then select from the first 5 polishes for an outer corner colour, and a pop colour from the rest of the 5 shadows.
I liked the colours and the pigmentation, so well see how well it goes.
The Calgon spray is actually not mine. Some other person had paid for it and left it by mistake so the cashier gave it to me instead. It was only 50 cents so I didnt feel too bad about it. Its not my favourite scent so I ended up giving it to my sister, who loves Calgon stuff :)
As I mentioned, this was my first haul.... fairly small considering the crazy shopping I did when I went with my mom and sister! Ill post those hauls soon :)
