I am on a roll picking up brightly colored lipsticks...mainly sticking in the coral family. While I was out I bought a few more. Some have been on my list to get for a little while and others I have seen youtube video reviews on and it sparked my interest (the Maybelline Sping collection ones, mainly).
I`ll jump right in. For the lips, I first spotted the new Maybelline lipsticks. There was a display near the front of the store with a lot of new Maybelline products. I had my eyes on the lip colors. Two are more warm toned and 2 are cooler. I don`t look good in cooler tones, so I only bought the 2 warmer ones: Strike A Posy and Coral Carnation. Strike A Posy does seem to have a pretty strong golden shimmer in it, but I haven`t tried it on the lips yet, so I don`t know how it will appear. Coral Carnation seems to be more of a cream finish. I made my way over to the Cover Girl lip products. I just recently started to try out their new(er) line of lipsticks (okay, so they`re like a year old) and liked them so I thought I would pick up another. I saw this one on several blogs and it looked good on everyone wearing it. It is Flame. Right next to the Cover Girl was Revlon. There were two lipsticks I wanted (that were on my list) but someone destroyed several colors... they were squished into the lids and/or swatched already. No thank you! So, I couldn`t get the ones I wanted. But, I did see this one in Apricot, which seemed similar...so I thought I would try it. As I was walking around I saw a pretty big display with Gwen Stefani on it (love her!). There weren`t many colors that appealed to me, but I did see Summer Rose, which looked like it might be nice for spring/summer. Finally, I made my last stop at Milani. I picked up two of their new glosses (they added some shades to this particular collection). I got one in Fruit Punch and one in Pucker up (Fruit punch is the deeper of the two, Pucker up the lighter one). I like how small these are.
Since I was already looking at the Milani products, I couldn`t help but check to see if they had their spring collection (which I hadn`t spotted up until this point). It was pretty picked over, but they did have two that I wanted the most. I got Mint Candy and Beach Front. I already bought two others from the collection a while back, but they were in the core display and not in the spring collection display.
I`m pretty sure I need to cut myself off from buying more lip products. I have gotten WAY too many glosses and lip sticks all in the bright pink or coral family... I`m sure I have all the corals/pinks I need for this year. LOL!
