Last May 26th I went to Rock in Rio Lisbon. I don´t know if you are familiar with this music festival but it happens every two years in Portugal but it originated from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Well, it´s huge, with great bands and lots of things to do while you are waiting to see the concerts. Anyway, on the 26th there was Limp Bizkit, Offspring, Linkin Park and Smashing Pumpkins. It took me more than an hour just to get inside and, on the next day, I heard on tv there were 83 thousand people there. The first two bands sang old hits that I remember hearing years ago in high school, but Linkin Park and Smashing Pumpkins brought a little of the old and some new songs. To be honest, I went the especially to see Linking Park, since I´ve been a fan since the beginning of the band. They had been in Lisbon on 2008 but back then I didnt have the opportunity to go. Well, the concert was great but it was really hard to get in front of the stage, because there were so many people there, but it was worth the effort. I got to sing along every song and also to dance. Chester and Mike interacted a lot with the audience and all that crow feeling the same way and singing out loud made a great show. It was money well spent. I also liked to watch the Smashing Pumpkins live. Less people wanted to see them, so it was easier to move around. It was an experience to repeat.
Have you see any of these bands live?
What do you think of them?
Have you been to any Rock in Rio?
