I am behind on posting food lately due to family visits and traveling, but when I was in Ottawa during Canada Day long weekend we ate at The Fish Market which is in the Byward Market. I ordered the catfish filet which was blackened in their southern spices and finished with a spicy Cajun Creole sauce. It was my first time having catfish and it is a tasty fish. I would definitely recommend trying it. I had extra vegetables with my dish instead of rice or potatoes. I noticed that service and portions are a lot different than home as service is really slow and portions are a lot smaller. After every single meal we had none of us were full. Which is a bonus if you are the dessert eating type. I noticed in order to feel full you had to order a starter/appetizer lol. I am glad we`re not there anymore because other than this dish the majority of the food was mediocre and it took 1+ hours to get food unlike back home where you are guaranteed to get food within 30 minutes whether it be casual or a fine dining restaurant.
Do you notice changes in service and portion sizes when you travel?
Have you had catfish before?
