Life as We Know it is a really nice movie of 2010 directed by Greg Berlanti and starring some interesting actors as Katherine Heigl, (yes, Im a bit obsessed with her!) Josh Duhamel, Josh Lucas and Melissa McCarthy.
The plot is linear and pretty humorous for the most part but with an interesting, yet sad, twist that brings the two main characters to take a very important decision about their lives.
Holly (Katherine Heigl) and Messer (Josh Duhamel) have to deal with parenting after the death of their mutual best friends and married couple, as their will was to leave their child, Sophie, to them, in case of an accident.
Its something unexpected and completely overwhelming, but while Holly is willing to respect her friends will, ready to take care of the baby and adapt her carrier to this situation, Messer is definitely not that ready and hes very scared of taking this huge responsibility.
They will, in the end, learn how to deal with parenting and with love, as theyll discover theyre not so incompatible.
I cant tell you the end, although its quite predictable, but I can say that the path to the happy ending is not so smooth.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this movie and I feel I can recommend it to you guys. Obviously, if youre more into action movies, spy stories or something like that, this is not for you (:
