I made this for dinner Saturday night. I had wanted tacos for a while, so I browned up my meat as I usually do with some onion and when it was done added in my taco seasoning and water and let it simmer until it thickened. Since I didnt want a salad and I didnt want taco shells because I wasnt terribly hungry, I decided to use lettuce as my shell. Surprisingly it was really good! I stuffed the lettuce leaves with my meat mixture, salsa, sour cream and diced tomatoes. I rolled them up and enjoyed. It was really good and a unique twist on a classic. The meal itself was light, but filling at the same time.
Do you substitute lettuce as a shell or wrap for foods you make?
