Today was another one of those days where I wanted to make something to eat but ended up not having all the ingredients. Don`t you just hate when that happens? Well I had some avocados in my fridge that has been sitting there for a while so I decided to make some guacamole. This is my recipe for lazy guacamole! I`ve made this a few times before and sometimes I actually prefer it over my regular guacamole recipe. Anyways, I didn`t have any tomatoes, jalapeños or red onions to make guacamole so this is what I did instead!
lemon or lime
jar of salsa - I used Pace mild
mrs. dash garlic & herbs flavor
salt & pepper
First I cut my avocados open and while still in it`s skin shell thingy I cut it into cubes. I like my guac on the chunky side so that`s why I dice the avocado and only mash it a little bit. Then I scoop out the avocado and place it in a bowl. I didn`t have lime so I used lemon instead and squeezed half a lemon in. To that I then add some chopped up cilantro (about a tablespoon) and then I also added two dollops of the salsa. You can add as much or as little of the salsa you want but I added in about three tablespoons. Then I added a few shakes of the mrs. dash seasoning and salt and pepper to taste. Mash a little and mix there you have it lazy guacamole!
When you mix it, it may look brown like it`s old guacamole but that`s just because of the salsa you added to it that makes the color like that.
So that`s how I sometimes make guacamole. It`s really easy to make and it tastes good too!
