Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser review

For a person who hardly wears makeup I think BB creams and tinted moisturisers are a good place to start. I banished the idea of purchasing a BB cream since I didn`t fancy what I heard about having a grey tint and it took me more trouble to get hold of. This was way before the Garnier BB cream came out.

Passing the counters in John Lewis (a department store) I decided to go ahead and pick up the LM tinted moisturiser. My sister tried the foundation on me and the quality seemed good enough. Though, it did kind of burn a little inside to hand over the money LOL

I quite liked this up until I suspected that the shade I had didn`t quite match my skintone or my skin had changed to a lighter shade. Looks like I won`t be visiting the LM counter in that department store again.

Comes in a different shades and has a oil-free version for those with oily skin
Has SPF 20
Comes in a squeezy tube, easier to get the product out
Light coverage but I find it buidable
Feels as it says `lightweight` on the skin - great for the hotter seasons
Will last you for months (The sales assistant said 3-4 months but it really depends on how much/often you use it)
Evens out your skin (check photo 7) It reduces the red patches
Easy to blend - Just use your fingers
Moisturising - I bought the on for normal skin
Lasts a working day (around 8-10 hours) before my face starts to give off a little shine

Looks slightly yellow (it has a yellow undertone? Is that what you call it?) It just makes me look a little `tanned` I guess as someone once described me as
Holding the tube up to the sunlight it looks half full but it still lasts me ages

Expensive at £33
Not travel friendly - I must have squashed it in my bag and it exploded into the cap, didn`t leak just slightly waste of product
Accentuates any dry skin/flakes so make sure your face is flake free

I don`t regret my purchase but I don`t think I`ll be repurchasing. I`d like to try other brands instead but this one seems to work well for my skin. I`d recommend it even though it`s slightly pricey.

What are your thoughts on this tinted moisturiser? Would you purchase this product?
