Two Saturday`s ago, my best friend wanted me to go with her to the ICE (<em>institute of culinary education</em>) Institute since she doesn`t know NYC that well. During the tour, I thought, hey, I`m in the Chelsea area, there must be a macaron place around. And what do you know, I found a place just down the block and recommended highly by an internet source and our tour guide at the ICE Institute.
So we went down to <strong>La Maison du Macaron</strong>. We got 8 for $20. A bit expensive but they were good. I don`t remember all of them.
The purple ones are fig/casiss. <- they were delicious.
The brown ones are caramel <- those were yummy too.
The ones with the sesame seeds looking things on them is strawberry <- not worth it, you might as well just go buy strawberry ice cream.
The white one is vanilla <- yuck.
I can`t remember the other ones.
They were delicious. Watch out for the post about the next macaron place I went to that I found the other day near me. :)
<strong>Have you ever had macarons? What flavors do you like? Don`t like?
