Today I present to you the number 7 of my list of castles to go visit in Europe. The name of this castle is Ksiaz (Ksi) and it is located in Silesia, Poland near the town of Wabrzych.
It was built in 1288-1292 but this castle was destroyed and rebuilt a lot of times. I could not find many information about this castle, but something that is interesting to know about it is that during the second world war this castle was once confiscated by the Nazis and then occupied by the Red army.
Today is possible to go visit this castle with guided tours in groups or individual ones. When the castle was occupied by the red army all artifacts were lost or destroyed. This castle is a great piece of history since it dates from a really long time ago. This one is definitely one of my favorites.
What do you guys think? Have you ever been in Poland? Would you like to go visit this castle someday?
Let me know :)
