Korean Food - Kayagum restaurant
I want to share with you all one of my new favourite restaurants in Toronto.
It`s a Korean place called Kayagum, and the reason I love it so much is that it is open 24 hours! It`s actually pretty close to where I live, and it`s a great spot to hit up when you are looking for a bite to eat on the middle of the night!
It`s become the go to place for me and my little brother because we both volunteer at our community centre, and usually aren`t done until really late. Since we try to avoid fast food, this has become the spot to get a good meal in the middle of the night lol!
We have been a few times now, and we are starting to figure out what our favourites are.
We always get an order of the Kayagum Salad, that has lettuce, tomato, shredded carrots and beets, lots of avocado and a citrus-y dressing (like the kind at sushi restos).
I also love glass noodles or jap chae, so we always grab an order of those as well.
We`ve discovered that this place is known for their amazingly crispy sweet and spicy chicken. They have a milder version and a super spicy version. We`ve only tried the mild one, but my brother wants to get the super spicy one next time we go.
Lastly, I wanted to try their pork katsu last time we went, and with all the items we`ve tried so far, I haven`t been disappointed. They had this amazingly creamy sauce poured over top... It was delicious!
I`ve also had the beef bulgogi and veggie BiBimBap which were both great as well, on previous visits :)
I`m really excited to go back soon and try some other exciting dishes :)
What is your favourite Korean dish?
