The New York Knickerbockers, better known as the Knicks have given their loyal cheerleaders and fans much to cheer about so far in the young season. Entering the evening as the only remaining undefeated team left in the NBA they remained un-beaten at night`s end. The Knick`s have experienced over a decade of woes, never really recovering from ther loss in the NBA Finals (1994) as Patrick Ewing got dream-shaked by Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon and the resto of the Rockets back-to back players off those championship teams. But this Knick team is different. People are exited in New York and rightfully so. Coming back and defeating the Spurs by four showed the mental toughness of these Knick`s. But what is the real answer for their new found success. Remember they wouldn`t sign Jeremy "Linsane" Lin letting him go back to the Rockets. The Lakers revamped, Miami will be amped up ever year. What these Knick`s did was just focus on what they had and are playing as a well oiled machine that plays as a team and not individual talent. It takes a team to win. As the old saying goes "There is no "I` in T.E.A.M. The Knicks can thank thereselves for sticking to the plan and not abandoning ship. Oh, and how can we forget their awesome cheerleaders who get MSG pumped up on a daily basis.
Talk the Talk:
1) Do you think cheerleaders are athletes?
2) How much success of a team should be given to the cheerleaders who get the crowd rowdy thus preserving the home court advantage concept?
