Kishimoto Japanese Restaurant was super busy with a lineup of hungry people out the door before and after our meal (Keep in mind this restaurant doesn`t take reservations. When you get here you`ll need to write your name down for the queue if there is a lineup). The restaurant opens at 5pm but i think we got there by 5:45 and it was full on a weekday. The wait was quite long, 30 minutes.
Their presentation was a creative beauty, edamame centered pinwheel daikons in a glass filled with shredded daikon, a candle - made with a sheet of daikon wrapped around a tea light, and a butterfly - carved from a carrot
The food: Chicken Karaage (fried chicken) was delicious - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with flavours of sweet garlic sauce. Sashimi Salad had chunks for sashimi (i`ve been to places where they gave me fish scraps) and other fresh seafood - i was surprised i enjoyed it as much as i did as it was only a salad after all. Salmon Oshisushi was my favourite...deliciousness you need to try yourselves- its got salmon, cream sauce, and black pepper. Triple Salmon Roll was good as well.
