Heaving or chucking a ball, is when you`re usually at quite a distance from the basket your shots of actually getting the basketball in is very low. This is usually done as the time is about to expire and you want to make a miracle shot. But in an interview with Kevin Durant recently, he talks about why he would rather not and it makes sense. The reason being to protect shooting percentage or his "stats". In a game of statistics where your averages dictate how good your game is, it`s very important to preserve it. But I`m guessing if it means a playoff or championship game they should do it.
What are your thoughts? Would you CHUCK?
