I recently saw the lovely Janes post about her experience when she was in Maui and did the Road to Hana adventure and after reading it I just wanted to go back to Hawaii! I was in Maui, Hawaii this past summer, August to be exact and I thought I would share one of the resorts my family and I stayed at and it was the Kaanapali Beach Club which is just a mile away from The Westin and Whalers Village. Its part of the Diamond Resorts International which is pretty much a time share. The resort is on the island of Maui more particularly in Lahaina. We sent a week at this resort and it was seriously the best time ever! One whole week here was a dream and I was so sad to leave. The area had hotels and resorts all along the beachfront but you can tell from miles away which building is the Kaanapali Beach Club because its a huge pink triangular building! No lie! When we pulled up I was taken back at the fact that the exterior of the building was pastel pink and I thought it was funny. When we arrived we were greeted with shell necklace leis and we were able to check in right away. The resort was awesome and we had a great ocean view suite and the pool here was pretty awesome and of course this place had there own private beach area. Our room was a two bedroom two bathroom suite that could sleep 6 people and it was really big enough that my cousins who were staying at another place stayed at our resort for a few days since the suite was super roomy. Our room had a wrap around balcony where we had a view of the ocean. I really wished we got a room that was in the front towards the beach so we could have a view of that but this was more then good enough for us. Besides the pool and the beach there are so many activates to do around this resort. On certain nights they had movie night out by the pool, you could take ukulele and hula lessons, there was a lei making class, morning water aerobics class, bingo, arcade, pool volleyball competitions, and even a day care place to drop off the little ones. The pool at this place is pretty amazing the area is surrounded with rock water falls, and pink lounge chairs all around the pool. The pool includes a water slide area and hot tubs. Near the pool area there is a small hut where you can rent snorkeling gear and also pool inflatables. The pool and the beachfront are seriously like a few steps away so you can easily go from swimming in the pool to jumping into the ocean. They also had cabanas on the beach that you can rent but it is kind of pricey to rent one for the day. The resort also has a gym but I felt like it was such a small gym for a big resort. They have two eateries on the property one being a pool side snack bar that I believe was open 24 hours and also a restaurant with a really nice bar. They do however also have daily breakfast buffet in the restaurant that I went to twice because we were given free passes for it and I must say for a breakfast buffet it was really good. It wasnt your typical crappy breakfast buffet as all. All of the pictures are mine and they were just taken all over the resort and some from our room. Lastly every night for sunset they light all the tiki torches right before the sun goes down and it would be the most beautiful sunset! We were on the 11th floor so there is an open area in the center of each floor so was able to get a really nice picture of the pool from above so you can really see how close the pool and the beach are. If you are ever in Maui and need a place to stay I highly suggest checking this place out! ______________________________________________________________________
