I havent done a favorites post for SO long! Its probably been a year. I thought Id try to start doing monthly ones, even if I didnt have a lot of new favorites.
So for July, I didnt really go out much so there wasnt a lot of makeup other than my everyday routine things like tinted moisturizer, powder, blush, brows, etc. That stuff has been the same for over a year.
Urban Decay Naked Palette (Half Baked, and Buck)
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Clinique Lash Power Mascara
Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Balm (Spf 15)
Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Pomegranate
For eyeshadows, I kept it super simple using only the golden Half Baked color on my entire lid, and then using Buck to darken the outer corner and blend into my crease. Its easy to do, and its hard to mess up since the colors arent dark at all.
I used to be a HUGE fan of Clinique years ago when I was still in high school and just starting college. Then I got more into makeup and began exploring different brands and products. I still had the moisturizer and mascara that I rarely used, but since it was summer I decided to try it out. The moisturizing gel is great for oily skin in the summer. It doesnt make you super oily, but its just the right amount of moisture. The mascara is SUPER long wearing! I mean, I think you could get pushed into the pool and still come out looking fresh. This mascara doesnt even come off with regular makeup remover. Youll need warm water and a soft cloth to remove. Its sort of like a tubing mascara, without the tubes.
For lips, Ive been straying away from lipsticks lately and leaning more towards the balms and butters. Im currently loving the Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Balm because it provides SPF protection from the harsh California UV rays, and its probably the smoothest lip balm Ive ever used! Im glad that Sephora gave these out for the birthday freebie this year. :] Although the Korres Lip Butter Glaze doesnt provide SPF, it gives off a great, vibrant color.
