I finally got around to using one of my Julp nail polishes and honestly
Im NOT impressed! I used the polish called Viola which is a cream finish deep and vampy purple/plum color. Its a really dark color and from a far it looks black. There honestly isnt anything special about this polish to me at all. And to be honest when I was picking out my box for that penny promo all the polishes they had werent anything special looking. This nail polish Viola looks exactly the same as another nail polish I have from China Glaze called /viz/china-glaze-evening-seduction Quality wise the polish wasnt opaque at all. The polish left a few bald spots so it took at least 3 coats of polish to cover my nail. The polish was also on the thinner runny side which explains the bald spots so I didnt like that at all either. As far as drying time, it did dry pretty quickly to me. As for the packaging, the sleek tall bottle is nice but it does have less product in it and it costs more. You can probably buy 2 OPIs for the price of 1 Julep polish if you bought the Julep polish at full price. Another thing about the packaging is that I felt like since it was more of a slender bottle I felt like it could easily tip over when I would remove excess polish off the brush to add onto my nails. It just didnt feel secure or heavy enough to be able to stand up. Besides their penny deals I for sure wont be purchasing these polish full price with my own money! They just dont seem worth it to me and as much as the packaging is nice I cant just base it on nice packaging.
