New Juicy Book clues us in that Liz Claiborne bought Juicy Couture in 2003! Pam & Gela Sold Out! To Liz Claiborne then they changed names to Fifth & Pacific, and in 2014 they are Kate Spade & Company. The new name also reflected the sale of the Liz Claiborne namesake brand to JC Penney Co. in October 2011. On October 7, 2013, Fifth & Pacific Cos announced that they would sell Juicy Couture to Authentic Brands Group for $195 million. Authentic Brands also owns Tapout, Marilyn Monroe, Judith Leiber, Adrienne Vittadini and Taryn Rose. In their New Book The Glitter Plan, Pam & Gela Said that they did regret selling the company and did try to buy it back but got outbid!! So the designs being produced by Juicy today are not the same style and fun that Pam & Gela brought to them when they started way back in 1995. They are starting a new adventure as mentioned in their book.. I can`t give you all the spoilers at once!!
