According to the Dodgers, Josh Beckett will now be on the disabled list and won`t be throwing for about four weeks because of a nerve irritation in his right arm and hand. Beckett won`t be needing any surgery as of right now but will need physical therapy for the next month. Josh Beckett recently had an appointment with Gregory Pearl, who is a nerve specialist. He is actually the same doctor who did the surgery on Chris Carpenter, who is the pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. Beckett hopes to avoid surgery as much as possible and plans to hear his injury with physical therapy only. So far, he has come across numbness in his right hand for a couple of weeks ago. Right now he has a $68 million contract, which is definitely a lot of money. What do you guys think? Should he have the surgery or risk it and keep on with the physical therapy?
