This is my vanity desk. I bought a half moon shaped wood board from Ikea and used it as a surface. I also got the mirror as well as the 2 lamps on top of the mirror from Ikea. So in some way, you can say that this vanity desk is a DIY product. I`ve been using it for about 3-4 years now and it`s still very sturdy.
As for organizing my stuff, I put my most-used makeup products on the surface of the desk. I know that some of you may think that the desk seriously needs some cleaning, but for those of you who put on makeup everyday, you know that it`s not possible. The dust is mostly from when I`m putting on loose powder. Now, back to where we were. Before I had this big of a stash, I used to just lay everything flat out on the desk. Now that my stash has grown significantly, I had to get 2 plastic pencil holders from a local Japanese toonie store called Daiso. The pencil holders came with dividers that you can use and the spacing between each one is adjustable. I use 1 holder to store my brushes and eyeliners, and the other shorter holder to store lip products and small eyeshadow palettes. So far it`s working out great but as you can see, there are still a bunch of stuff placed randomly on the desk. Maybe I will soon get a 3rd holder to store them.
Aside from what`s on my vanity desk, I also have a drawer that stores the makeup that I don`t use very often. I didn`t get a chance to take photos of the drawer today but I will definitely do another post on that later.
