I had the pleasure of attending a Jason Mraz concert on September 29, so last Saturday. This was part of his "Tour is a Four Letter Word" series, and let me just say, It was absolutely incredible.
The tour opened with an up and coming artist Christina Perri, who is known for songs such as "Jar of Hearts" and "A Thousand Years". Her voice is incredible, and she was beautiful all around.
Jason Mraz calls San Diego his hometown, even though he comes from Mechanicsville, Virginia. He was discovered in San Diego, and therefore, this concert seemed to be special to him. I`ve been to a couple of concerts in my lifetime, but none compare to this one. Jason`s undeniable charm was present from beginning to end. He even did an encore. Everyone knows that Jason holds a lot of talent, but what got me the most was his ever present love for the environment. There were many signs telling audience members to think about being more environmentally sustainable. He cares about the earth and that alone made me love him even more. His buttery smooth voice serenaded audience members under the full moon. I should mention that because of the full moon, he did a charming performance of "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra.
I encourage everyone to go see this man perform live at least once in their lifetimes. It won`t be an occasion to regret.
