In October, my husband and I decided to take a short-weekend trip to Vancouver, BC to get away from Seattle. During our visit while walking around downtown Vancouver, we came across this little Japanese coffeehouse/bakery place. They had this sign on the sidewalk of this unique "parfait" concoction. It looked interesting and we decided to give it a try. It is filled with Japanese sponge cake and different toppings from cereal flakes to fresh fruits and ice-cream or mousse. I don`t know if this would be consider a dessert. It was good and light and not too sweet, either. It reminded me of frozen yogurt minus the sponge cake. I didn`t like how much they charged for it- 7.95. The cup wasn`t even big. I would compare it to the size of Starbuck`s tall cup. Although, it was something new to try, I know I wouldn`t get this again even if it was that good.
Have you seen or tried ? Would you dish out that much for this Japanese "dessert"?
