Japan: Monkey servers at Restaurant

In Japan there is a restaurant that uses monkeys as servers. More specifically, the type of monkeys that are used are called macaque monkeys. In this restaurant two monkeys, Yatchan and Fukuchan, have the responsibility of serving customers hot towels and drinks; after the monkeys do their job, they are given soya beans as tips. If you are worried about animal right regulations, then let me put your mind at ease. The monkeys work for a maximum of two hours a day and their nutrition intake has been properly meet. All in all, I believe that the monkeys seem to promote a family dynamic to the restaurant while tending to the bar.
