A few days ago I received the January Glossybox. This months is a special Valentines edition meaning the packaging had been adjusted to fit the theme. Instead of the pale pink box, the packaging was a bright, vivid pink and the usual GlossyBox sticker was replaced with a little love heart. All very sweet touches.
Inside the box I got 4 sample sized products and 1 full sized item. The sample products were the Clarins Extra-Firming Day Cream, Clarins Extra-Firming Night Cream, FAB body moisturiser, Murad Dewy Finish Primer and the full sized item was the skinny eyeliner from Eyeko in Emerald Green.
I was very happy to see they hadn`t included a perfume sample in this months! I`m allergic to 90% of fragrances so I always pass them along to friends or family but that`s just unfortunate for me. The FAB moisturiser was a brand I hadn`t heard of being - but claims to be paraben free, and without traces of any nasty chemicals. Always a plus.
The Clarins samples were nice to try out but realistically I would never pay full price, £48 for a moisturiser. Murad isn`t a brand I`ve ever tried before so I was quite looking forward to trying the Dewy primer. It comes out tinted but doesn`t add any real colour to your face. It does make the skin look more radiant but isn`t noticeable enough to make a difference once under foundation so I wouldn`t purchase a full sized.
For me, the best product in the box was the full sized Eyeko skinny liner which is in a shimmering emerald green shade, unlike any I own. Pigmented and creamy, it`s a lovely liner.
Overall, I quite liked the contents of this months box. Although I didn`t get on with some products doesn`t mean others wouldn`t enjoy them. For me, the best of the box was the Eyeko eyeliner and FAB moisturiser!
