Hello lovely Luuuxers!
For all of you who voted for the last nail look, thanks! Haha that was so much fun. Team Glossy won, so I will have to re-create that manicure soon! :)
In the meantime, I had to take off my party nails to switch to something more neutral for my job interview! (And, to anyone who asked before, I GOT THE JOB! WOOHOO!!!) But anyway, I just used a neutral nude polish that wasn`t really interesting enough to share. Just today, I decided to re-paint them with a polish I haven`t used since I bought it a few months ago, the limited edition Maybelline Color Show in Boho Gold. This came in that same collection with the LE Color Tattoos and I actually snatched this polish up at the same time as I got Barely Beige.
I am DROP. DEAD. HEAD. OVER. HEELS. for this polish! I cannot stop looking at my nails because the colors change so beautifully with different angles of light. Even as I type this right now, the colors switches from a lighter gold to a more tarnished gold and then to an olive-ish green. I`ve heard this is similar to Chanel Peridot, but I will probably never own that polish so I can`t say for sure. All I know is that this polish is a stunner and I`m so glad I have it in my collection.
This manicure took about two coats for opacity, but three coats to optimize the duochrome effect. With two coats, it basically just looks like a metallic gold polish, but the third coat brings out the extra dimension that you see in the bottle. It dried fairly quickly as well with my Out The Door top coat!
What do you think of this NOTD? Do you love duochrome polishes?
