Hello lovely Luuuxers!
Last night I was washing off my makeup and realized that my skin has been in awesome shape lately! So I thought I would share the products that I`ve been using. They`re all drugstore products too! For your reference, I have pretty dry skin with all-over redness and some rough texture issues, but I am not very acne prone (I get a breakout here or there but nothing pervasive).
First, I wash off my eye-makeup with Johnson`s Baby Shampoo. I just take a little squirt of it and put it on a tissue and run it under water, and it washes my makeup off so easily without irritating my eyes! It is also so cheap...one big bottle is less than $5 and it lasts forever! I also think it is good for my lashes, because it is basically like washing them and removing every last trace of mascara!
Then, to get my foundation off, I use Albolene. It is kind of like Vaseline in its consistency. I rub this all over my face and then wipe it off with a tissue. The vast majority of my makeup comes off with this, so when I use my cleanser, I am confident that my face is virtually makeup free! This jar was about $10, and I`ve had it for over a year and I`m only 1/3 finished with it! It serves the same purpose as wipes for a fraction of the cost. For those ladies with eczema and extremely dry skin, you can use this as a cleanser on its own, but I prefer to wash it off because it leaves a bit of a film.
My daily cleanser is the Garnier Moisture Rescue Fresh Cleansing Foam. I have repurchased this over and over and I am in love! It washes away the remaining makeup and dirt and makes my face feel very clean without making it feel too tight and dry! It also smells heavenly! I bought this for about $5 on sale at CVS, so it is very economical, and a little bit goes a long way!
After cleansing, if I was wearing a lot of makeup that day, I will follow up with a toner. My all-time favorite is the Boots No. 7 Soft and Soothed Gentle Toner. You can tell how much I love it; this is the second bottle and I need to go back and repurchase a third because I`m almost out! It removes the last little traces of foundation, makes the pores near my nose look clear, and feels very refreshing on the skin! For those of you who want to use a toner but think it is too harsh or drying, definitely try this one! It retails for $7.99 at Target!
The last step is my nighttime moisturizer! I`ve been using the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream for the past few weeks, and I am IN LOVE! Since using this product, I have noticed a vast difference in the texture of my skin. My skin used to get bumpy and uneven, but now I wake up and it is so smooth, I catch myself touching my face in disbelief! It has hyaluronic acid in it, which is known to help the skin maintain its moisture barrier. I heard great reviews on this cream before buying it and I have to agree with them! I will give this moisturizer a full review soon, so keep on the lookout! :)
That`s it for my nighttime skincare regimen! Do you use any of these products?
