Hello lovely Luuuxers!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all had a wonderful 2012 and are looking forward to a great year in 2013! My year had its ups and downs, but I have a LOT to look forward to in this upcoming year, so I think it will be a good one! I also hope that everyone had a fun and safe time celebrating the New Year last night!
I didn`t do much to celebrate because I prefer to have low-key NYE celebrations! My BF and I went on a double-date and it was a lot of fun. However, I still like to use NYE as an excuse to dress up in something glitzy and wear some dramatic makeup! Although this is not as dramatic as some people do on NYE, it was still a bit more smokey than I do on a daily basis.
To create this look, I first primed my eyes with UDPP. Then, I used my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for most of the rest of the eyes. I used Verve all over the lid and a combination of Pistol and Tease in the outer corner and blended it a little bit into the crease. I used Foxy as my brow highlight, and then pulled out my Maybelline Eyeshadow Quad in Sapphire Ice (which I think has been discontinued...I swear mine is like five years old), because the silver shade in that quad is amazing, and used it in my inner corner. I also went back into Pistol in the Naked 2 palette and used it under my eyes with a small pencil brush.
Once I was done with eyeshadow, I lined my eyes with my Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES eyeliner in Onyx, which is the most richly-pigmented black pencil liner I own. I then used two layers of my Lancome Cils Booster XL and then two layers of Maybelline Voluminous Million Lashes mascara for ultra dramatic lashes.
That`s it for my NYE eye look! Do you love doing smokey looks for NYE? What did you do to celebrate?
