Hi everyone! Its surprising that todays weather is actually quite nice where I live. What better way to enjoy it than sipping on a half-priced cold Frappuccino from Starbucks? Thats right half-priced! I am quite sure that most of you know that Starbucks is having their Frappuccino Happy Hour during the days of May 4 to May 13 from 3-5 pm. But for those who dont, hurry up and get to Starbucks before the deal is over!
I usually get their Green Tea Frappuccino, but today I decided to switch it up and try a new one. I decided to try their new Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino. Since I needed a quick pick me up, I opted for the Venti size for the price of $2.75! Okay, Ill admit, I was also being Little Miss Piggy today.
I found the frap to be a little too bitter for my liking; probably because of the Frappuccino chips. I generally like my drinks to be more on the sweeter side. Apparently this frap is composed of a blend of mocha sauce, vanilla syrup, chocolaty chips, milk and ice, and topped with chocolaty whipped cream and chocolate cookie crumbles. This would not be one of the smoothest drinks I have ever had since there were crunchy chunks of chocolate here and there. The part that I really enjoyed was that this drink was topped with chocolate whipped cream instead of the standard whipped cream. And best of all, there was chocolate cookie crumbles sprinkled on top! I decided to do some reason on its nutrition facts and it turns out that this drink was a whooping 580 calories! Wow that is a lot of calories for one drink! I guess I have to work my buns off for this; time to hit the gym!
I would recommend this drink for those who enjoy a bitter-sweet drink and for those chocolate lovers out there. Since I am not a chocolate fan, I am giving this drink a pass. It was nice to try a new drink, but I think I am sticking to my Green Tea Frappuccino!
Did you participate in Starbucks Happy Hour deal? What is your favourite Frappuccino?
