Hi everyone! If you`re a beauty junkie like me, then you already know that the beauty community was abuzz with rumors of a new Urban Decay Naked Palette. There were pictures, swatches and skepticism abound, but then people in France confirmed there was a new Naked3 when Sephora France had accidentally put it up on their site and allowed people to buy it. Only a couple weeks later, Urban Decay confirmed all of our greatest hopes (or fears, depending on how your wallet was feeling): there was indeed a new Naked palette, and it would feature 12 ALL NEW shades with a rose-gold theme.
People signed up for the notification emails on the UD website, and when it was originally released on a Thursday in November, it was sold out within hours. There was a waiting list for the next restock, and people were wondering when it would released by other retailers like Macy`s, Sephora and Ulta so they could get their glittery paws on it.
Now it is available online and in stores at both Sephora and Ulta, PLUS it`s a permanent product!
I was initially tempted to buy it from the UD website but I hoped Sephora would release their $15/$20 off $50 purchase rewards cards, and I wasn`t disappointed. If you are a Beauty Insider you should have received a $15 of $50 card, while VIBs and Rouge members received a $20 off $50. The timeline for the sale actually lined up with the online and in-store release of the Naked3 palette at Sephora so my patience was rewarded. The minute it was available online I ordered it with the reward card, making this $52 palette only $32!
After an initial scare of my palette being delivered to a different address in a different city, it finally arrived! The box packaging is actually much prettier than either the original Naked or the Naked 2 palette. The actual packaging is similar to the Naked 2 - in that it is a metal and plastic body that snaps shut, not like the original Naked palette which is cardboard with a magnetic closure. It also comes with a dual-ended eyeshadow brush. The bonus with this palette is that it comes with a week`s supply of their different eyeshadow primers. I love the original, but this is a good chance to try the others.
Again, this palette is now available in stores and online at Ulta, in stores at Sephora (it`s currently sold out online) and is $52 for 12 FULL SIZED, BRAND NEW eyeshadows (their regular eyeshadow singles are $18 a piece).
Thanks for reading! Did you get the Naked3 palette? Do you have the original or Naked2?
