If you`re in the market to buy a HDTV right now-- it`s is a good opportunity to purchase one now. Why? According to the Yahoo article I read the left over 2011 television models are going to be on sale because the 2012 models are arriving soon late March/Early April so you`ll be getting good deals. Not only that but there is a new policy coming in effect on April 1st, 2012 (this year) called Unilateral Pricing Policy (UPP) which means retailers who sell a TV below the manufactures preset price will be penalized!! What TV companies are following this new policy? Samsung and Sony will be on their newer television models so basically they are coping Apple and Bose style of "pricing", all the TV`s model 2012+ forward by Samsung/Sony will be at a fixed price at all locations.
Will you be buying a new HDTV? I told my dad about this and now he wants to buy another television lol.
What do you think of this new policy? Making the newer TV models sold at a "fix" price like Apple products? Good for the manufacture.. not good for us because there will HARDLY be any sales!
