After trying Iron Chef Bobby Flay`s restaurant for lunch, my bf and I had to try the other Iron Chef, Masaharu Morimoto`s restaurant for dinner which is called Morimoto located in New York City. This place is very nice and modern fancy looking. Make sure you do dress up and make reservations because this place was busy for dinner. Since we were indecisive, we ordered the Morimoto Omakase which is a chef`s choice of multi-tasting plates to allow people to experience the Morimoto cuisine. It is recommended for people dining here for their first time and since it was our first time we tried it. We started off with tuna tartare with many sauces to dip the tartare with. It was uniquely displayed on a board that looked like a washboard and you have like a flat spoon to eat it with. This was the best tuna tartare I ever had! Then we had a fish salad which was also good. Then we had a mini fondue where you dip bread and veggies, and then an oyster. Then we had some sushi and lobster and steak. Finally, we had a yummy dessert, can`t remember what it was but it wasn`t too sweet which is good for me and I love fruits in my dessert. We also got a shot of ginger cocktail which wasn`t so bad. Everything was good, service was good, place looked nice. Nothing to complain about. Oh the chopsticks were cool looking! Morimoto Omakase cost 125 plus tip and taxes per person.
