I did the first month of Insanity and then got distracted - oops. But I would like to go ahead and review the first month. It was hard and surprisingly repetitive, despite the large number of dvd`s that come with this system. The monotony might have something to do with me not completing the series as well. Shaun T is constantly pushing you through the bootcamp type training, and he does it in a way that isn`t annoying. The dvd`s are kind of boring though because they are all very basic moves like pushups, squats, leaps and other drill training type moves. It reminded me a lot of high school P.E. I like that there were fit tests every other week, because then you can see how much you have improved. It is easy to get better at doing pushups if you do them every day! The schedule and books that it comes with are really helpful and I thought the whole package was put together really nicely, and it better be for over $100! I think I will try to get through the whole 60 days without a break this time, so hopefully the second month is less boring than the first. I didn`t lose but a few pounds but did notice a lot of strength from doing these videos. It is hard on your joints so you have to be really careful. I wouldn`t recommend this if you are too out of shape or have sensitivity with your joints. After completing a full 2 months of Insanity, I will be alternating these dvd`s into my other home fitness videos. I am glad I have them but looking back probably wouldn`t have spent the money if I knew how monotonous they were.
