** all pictures are mine, please do not use without my permission** I recently won http://www.youtube.com/user/pinkiecharm?feature=results_main giveaway on Youtube where she was contacted by Benefit to pick 50 winners for a Benefit Perk Up Artist palette. I was really excited to be one of the winners because I was starting to see a lot of reviews about this new product. I`ve had it for over a month now but haven`t used it a lot but I can definitely tell you why. First of all, this kit/palette retails for $30. It`s a small palette, a bit bigger than an average credit card. It includes 3 color correctors, a dual ended brush and a mirror inside. It`s very travel friendly especially since each color is in it`s own closed container. The way each lid snaps closed ensures that the product won`t dry out quickly and will keep bacteria from entering. There are 3 Complexion Color Correctors: - Correct: A yellow toned corrector which is for any discoloration/redness. - Cover: A skin tone color corrector for dark circles and blemishes. - Brighten: A light pink corrector to brighten up your eye area. Over the weeks I`ve tried to use this product and I have to say that I really dislike it. The only thing about this palette that I might still use is the brighten corrector for my inner eye area. These correctors are so sheer that they don`t do any correcting. The texture is similar to Benefit`s Some Kind-A Gorgeous Foundation. It`s very creamy and smooth. It basically just glides right off your fingers...and right off your face. There is absolutely no staying power at all. There is a slight powdery finish to these once you apply it but then it starts to feel greasy as hours pass. The worst of the correctors is the Cover (skin toned) corrector. How is this a concealer for under eye circles and blemishes? It doesn`t cover anything! This is a very pricey product for the size of the palette and I wouldn`t recommend to to anyone. I`m very thankful to receive it for free and try it out but it`s just going to be a waste of space in my makeup storage. lol Has anyone else tried this and have a different opinion about it? Or have any suggestions on a better use for it?
