I gave into the hype surrounding a drugstore foundation and you all know how I feel about them, they just don`t seem to work and my most hated one has always been the Revlon Colorstay, in my eyes that has been the worst possible foundation I`ve ever put on my face. anyways, they released a "whipped" formula which is supposed to be lighter than the original one.
as usual is par for the course when it comes down to me finding a drugstore foundation, the color I initially chose was WAY too pink (Sand Beige), however, I liked the way it felt so much I decided to do further research and try to pin point the closest match - Buff Beige. now at my Rite Aid they only had one display with what appeared to be one of each shade and that`s it, luckily they had such a shade and it was sealed !!
it looks like a liquid/creme hybrid in the jar - and what a luxurious jar it is - it`s thick but not thick if you know what I mean. it does blend beautifully, I found the best way to apply it is with my fingers followed by a little buffing with my Sigma F80. it has a silicone feel to it, much like the Tarte Clean Slate or Smashbox primer so it`s soft, doesn`t tug the skin and makes it easier to spread. I`d say this has medium coverage and I`d be a little careful with building it up, but it`s still doable. upon application it looks a little cakey, like you can really tell I have foundation on. I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE the smell, it has this plastic/dirt/dust scent and you know, it was bad enough to make me think twice about keeping it. I am also not a big fan at all of the whole "jar" thing, I really don`t like having to stick my fingers in the pot so I scoop some out, I`m wondering if there`s a way to depot this into a better medium, hmmmm .....
I will make another post about wear and all that good stuff when I`m done wearing it lol now, the question is, is this HG material ??? I think I will reserve judgment right now, I want to see if it breaks me out, if the scent gets stronger the older the foundation is or if it gets worse - oh man I hope it doesn`t get worse !!!
