I`ve posted a few things from my amazing trip this summer, but I also wanted to add some beauty hauls that I picked up while I was away!
One of those hauls comes from Inglot! If you haven`t heard of Inglot before, they are a Polish make-up company known for their amazingly pigmented eyeshadows, blushes and more!
They are pretty expensive but people rave about the quality of the shadows and the intense colour pay-off. I`ve had my eye on this company for a while but have never taken the plunge and purchased any products. In fact, for a while, they weren`t even available in Toronto since the only Canadian store was in Montreal.
While there is a store in Toronto now, I have never ventured downtown looking for it.
But imagine my excitement when I was walking through Yerevan, Armenia and noticed an Inglot store on the famous Northern Avenue! Northern ave is a new development only a few years old but it had become a bit of a shopping mecca in Armenia for high-end brands. There are many European and American stores popping up which is exciting for a small country like Armenia.
So even thought with the exchange prices were similar, I decided to splurge (hey, I was on vacation!) and get some of these shadows I have been lusting after forever!
Just my luck, they were actually moving locations so I had to wait until the day before I left for them to open their new location! But they had their grand re-opening just in time for me to get some make-up goodies before leaving!
I ended up choosing their freedom system, where you can buy an empty palette and fill with whichever shadows you want. They also have palettes available for their blushes and powders in different sizes. They also have pan lip colours that will fit in the same palettes as the shadows. They also have other items like traditional lipsticks, loose pigments, liquid foundations and an array of nail polishes!
I was initially looking to purchase a 10 slot eye palette but unfortunately they couldn`t locate any of those palettes since they had been misplaced during their move.
My options instead were to get two 5-pan palettes or a 20-pan palette and leave it partially empty. I decided to go with the second option since it was actually cheaper! And this way, I can always add to it if I ever purchase some more of these shadows.
So I set off swatching a whole bunch of different colours and shades until I ended up with 12 that I liked. I made a point to try and choose a variety of shades and finishes. Both my arms were covered in swatches by the end of, I was having so much fun! haha
There are some mattes, some shimmers, some Rainbow ombre versions and more. And while I did choose some neutrals, for the most part, I decided to be adventurous and choose some colours! I love neutrals as much as the next girl but every once in a while, you need some colour and Inglot is a great option to try some bright, unique and beautifully pigmented shades! It`s the perfect brand to play with colour!
Even the girls at the store commented on how unique and amazing my colour choices were!
I haven`t had too much of an opportunity to play with these shadows yet, but I know they are going to give me some great looks!
Have you ever heard of Inglot before?
