Indian Takeout for Dinner!

Tonight, my boyfriend and I were craving some comfort food, so we ordered from our favourite local Indian restaurant!

We almost always have the same thing every time. I guess you could say we are creatures of habit. ^^

Here`s what was on the menu for dinner tonight:

Chicken Madras: Chicken breast cubes cooked with coconut milk, blended with sour-sweet fruitiness of tamarind sauce, with black pepper.

Butter Chicken: Marinated chicken breast with creamy tomato curry.

Saffron Pea Pulao: Steamed, saffron-flavoured basmati rice with caramelized onions and green peas.

Rosemary Naan: Leavened flatbread with rosemary and olive oil.

Rasmalai: Sweet cottage cheese cake soaked in creamy milk.

Our meal was delicious, as it always is when we order from this restaurant. We got the butter chicken with mild spice, and the chicken madras with medium spice. Both of them were great, but my favourite will always be butter chicken. The saffron pea pulao is super yummy - it`s probably the best rice side dish I`ve ever had from a restaurant. The rosemary naan is handmade, and comes hot out of the oven! Finally, the rasmalai is sweet, but refreshing. It`s served cold with pistachios, which I love. :)
