Illamadqua- Pure Pigment Review.

Hey everyone. Ok so i got this Illamasqua Pure Pigment eyeshadow in a Glossybox a while ago in the colour `Marvel` Its a yellow/gold shimmer pigment which looks really pretty on the eyes when blended. It says it can be used as a highlight or mixed in the blusher. Personally i only use it as an eyeshadow because it is way to yellow toned for my skin.

I absolutely love the way the packaging looks, its super glassy and light weight and the shape is unique and eye catching! However i dont really like the opening, and the way the product is inside, when you open it up there is a layer of plastic with a whole in the middle to let the product through. Ok so i can never ever open with without getting it everywhere. Closing the packaging is a problem too as the product gets stuck on the outside of the lid so when you shut it you get little puffs of yellow powder, which is a total waist of product.

As for the product itself, i love it! i think this retails for about £14 for 1.3g of product which yes i know is expensive when you compare it to a Mac pigment as you get more product and they cost less. I think the colour is ok, i think it would suit a darker skin tone than myself. The formula i really like, its not to chalky which minimises the amount of fall out you get.

I really do love this product if you are looking for a luxurious pigment to add to your collection, but its not one of those colours i think you need. I would purchase another one of these but if you a limited on money and kind it hard to get hold of Illamasqua then i would go for the Mac pigments.

- Lovely formula.
- Classy packaging.
- Good range of colours.
- Can be used as a highlight or mixed in with a blush.

- The price.
- I think you waist a lot of product form the packaging design.
