My brother and sister-in-law came down to visit last weekend and before they came over they said they were gonna stop at the market to pick up something to make when they got to my house. They ended up popping into the grocery store to pick up some of the ingredients they knew I use to make homemade subs. The bread they picked up (French) is slightly different than the one I purchase (Italian) and their choice of meats (black forest ham, turkey, salami and orange American cheese) were different than the staple ones I purchase (I tend to either go with polish ham or turkey) but I feel as long as you make a sub with love itll taste bomb when you are done.
I diced up the tomatoes, onions and pickles, layering each of the ingredients onto the sandwich as I went. I added on the banana pepper rings and used some of the fancy lettuce they picked up on top of the diced veggies. I then drizzled with olive oil, black pepper, sea salt, and oregano. I then cut up hunks and passed out for all to enjoy.
Have you ever made homemade subs at home?
