I Made Kimchi

Kimchi is a type of Korean pickled vegetable and I love eating it. It is my favorite side dish at any Korean restaurant. I used to buy it at the supermarket but it was pretty expensive. I pay $5 for a small container of it. I`ve seen the nappa cabbage that they use to make kimchi on sale for super cheap.. I think each head of cabbage was only 50 cents. Of course, it would be a lot cheaper to make kimchi at home! I decided to try it out. I followed a recipe by Maaangchi who is quite famous on Youtube for her Korean cooking videos. I added a lot of red chilli powder, carrots, green onions, onion, and garlic. I also salted the cabbage before fermentation. It took a week or so before the kimchi was slightly sour and fermented. I made about 10 times the amount of kimchi as the store bought ones for a fraction of the cost :) Thoughts? Twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/qingaling_{}% Instagram: qingaling *picture is my own*
