HP launches new tablet for executives

The ElitePad 900 has 10.1 inches, 9.2 mm thick and weighs 690 grams. Designed especially for the business, the new HP tablet comes equipped with Windows 8, Bluetooth, NFC and a host of accessories sold separately, and that, when used with the tablet, can turn it into notebooks, expand its memory until the battery life (up to eight hours).

These are extra features that make it flexible to different situations and therefore very suitable for use in a business environment.

Among the many extra are, for example, the Productivity Jacket, a docking station that keeps the tablet stable and comes with two USB ports, HDMI output, memory card space and place to connect a keyboard. Another accessory is a pen that allows the user to write notes by hand on the screen of the tablet and then convert them to typed text.

The unit also features two cameras: a front is capable of shooting in HD and the rear is 8 MP resolution. The gadget also comes prepared to support 3G and 4G LTE.

The tablet will be commercially available from January next year. In the United States, the ElitePad will cost $ 699 900 (about 543 EUR).
