I am a university student, so I dont have a lot of time on my hands. When I cook I try to find short cuts to, first, minimize the time spent in the kitchen and, second, to maximize the amounts of product I have. For instance, lets talk about store bought pasta sauce. I usually gravitate towards the Ragu pasta sauce with mushrooms. I usually add lots of vegetables, such as zucchinis, green peppers, red peppers, yellow peppers, mushrooms, and onions. I also have some secrete ingredients to make my pasta sauce taste more homemade; I usually add a dash of chilli powder and a few sprinkles of parmesan cheese. These tactics always all my pasta sauce to last a lot longer. When you are on a budget allowing the ingredients in your pantry is a must.
