How to make italian lemon ice

in the summer time when its really hot i love making this its cold and refreshing.

Italian Lemon Ice

1 cup of Granulated Sugar
1 cup of Water
1 cup of Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
Zest of One Lemon
5 cups of Ice Cubes


place your container that your making this with in the freezer for a while

In a pot add the sugar and water and bring to a boil. Cook until the sugar and water is combined

Place the ice cubes in a large bowl, add the sugar and water mixture and stir until most of the ice cubes have melted.

Add the lemon juice and zest. Place the mixture in the fridge for about 1 hour.

After the mixture has chilled for about an hour, place it in the baking pan that`s been in the freezer.

Pop it in the freezer for 45 minutes. With a fork, mix up the mixture to brake up any pieces that have frozen. Pop it back in the freezer and every so offten mix it with a fork to make sure the mixture doesn`t freeze in one big block.

Repeat every so offen until its done and looks like a icey

enjoy also you can use any juice just use the same method
