A case can be very useful to protect your device, no matter what it is. But in case of the iPad, smartcases are the best because by opening and closing you can turn on and off the iPad which is very useful and neat.
But the problem with those cases is that they are more expensive than the regular ones and some people already have regular ones and dont feel like spending the extra money. So, fear not, I found a solution to make your case smart! Here is how:
<li type =disc> The smart cases work like that because they have magnets in it and when they connect to the ones inside of that ipad that triggers the on/off mechanism. So what you will need: </li>
- A case; Magnets, like fridge magnets and ones that are not overly strong; glue.
Test the position of the magnets on the iPad to see where you should put it on the case, but first make sure that unlock with case function is on in the settings. After you find the place of magnets, glue them to the case(not the ipad) and thats it. Test it out and enjoy your smart case!
Also, check out the video to see it being done.
I was planning on doing this but I got the case with a magnet so it has smart function, but doesnt work that well. I just found out the the place I was closing the case didnt had the magnets, so again, test out the sides to make sure it works.
Hope this helps you!
<strong> Do you have any case or smart case? Would you do this modification on a case?</strong>
