If you have an iphone/ipad/ipod touch, you probably have made backups of it with itunes or itunes did it automatically. Then it comes a time where you need to reset all the device settings and you will lose all data, which is worse when it comes to an iphone because you lose the texts and contacts but its not really recommended to restore all of it because if you were having battery problems before you might get them again by making a full restore.
So, i have faced this problem where i just wanted to extract my texts and contacts from a backup and do a clean reset of the phone because of battery issues. Itunes doesn`t let you do this but there is a software that does : iBackupBot.
Its free and it will let you browse your backups and then extract the texts, contacts, calender, whatever you want and just restore that to the iDevice, that you way you still have important data and fix the issues were having.
Have you ever had to restore all settings on you iDevice?
If you have an iphone, do you also have battery problems?
