Now a lot of people know they can freeze cookie dough but the important thing is are they doing it the right way? You can`t just throw cookie dough in the freezer and hope you can bake it three months when you throw it in the oven. Follow these easy steps and you`ll freeze your cookie dough just the right way to get yummy cookies when the time comes.
1. Portion out the cookie dough using a 1-inch cookie scoop onto a Silpat or parchment paper-lined baking sheet. They can be close but should not be touching!
2. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze the cookie dough portions for at least 6 hours until solid.
3. Transfer the frozen cookie dough to a Ziploc bag or plastic container, placing pieces of waxed paper in between the layers. Label and store in the freezer for up to three months.
4. Grab cookie dough whenever you`re craving cookies and bake!
